The reason for this topic is our respect for the
word of God is bound up on how we use it.

1 .

Lev 19:27 Ye shall not round
the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy
beard.
Jesus kept the law perfectly and could stand in front of his
accusers and ask, Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the
truth, why do ye not believe me? (John
8:46)
If he had short hair do you not think the scribes and Pharisees
would have pointed to his head while laughing their guts out? They would
have been right in doing so.
If our Saviour violated the law in any form he was a sinner and
could not be our Saviour. And we will all meet him in hell.
What should you do?
Should you give our
Saviour an imaginary haircut in
order to have Christian men wear short hair?
Does this mean that we saved gentile Christian men should have long
hair?
1Co 11:14
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair,
it is a shame unto him? Note! The
verse said shame not sin.
Therefore if Jesus had short hair it would have been a sin and if
Christian man has long hair it is a shame.
Get a hair cut if need
be. What is the big deal, you will probably be bald someday
anyway----so get a HEAD start! Why be contentious?
1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to
be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

Luke 2:21 And when eight days
were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was
called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived
in the womb.
What should you do?
Lead men to Christ and
tell them they have only eight days to get the job done?
Should a Christian or their male offspring be circumcised for
religious reason? Note! There
are some that advocate this practice for health issues.
Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ
neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith
which worketh by love.
I wonder why some reformers teach that baptism has replaced
circumcision and then baptise girls????
Am I missing something here?
I once, out of the goodness of my heart, offered to circumcise a
Seventh-Day Adventist. He refused. Perhaps, he was a spiritual Jew and
did not want to be as a physical Jew.

What should you do? Stay single and follow a
Levitical diet!
We must realise that we are not under the law and reading Jewish
"mail" causes many heresies.
1 Timothy 4:1-4 Now the Spirit
speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from
the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (2)
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron; (3)
Forbidding to marry, [and commanding]
to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with
thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (4)
For every creature of God [is]
good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being
made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one
that hangeth on a tree:
4.

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus
unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship
the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
What should you do? Take the author of death on single-handed?
It might save your life to use the armour provided or have the King
of Kings battle the prince of the air for
you!
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the
archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body
of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said,
The Lord rebuke thee.

Matthew 10:5-6 These twelve
Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of
the Gentiles, and into [any]
city of the Samaritans enter ye not: (6)
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
What should you do? Ignore these dispensational implications or
move to Israel and learn Hebrew!
Perhaps abiding by the doctrine set forth by the Apostle to the
Gentiles would be a good place to start.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the
Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of
this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that
blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the
Gentiles be come in.
Rom 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the
Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the
Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
The book of Acts the way it starts and ends should awake you to the
transitorily progress of Acts.
STARTS
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly
received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them]
about three thousand souls.
ENDS
Acts 28:27-28 For the heart of
this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and
their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with [their]
eyes, and hear with [their]
ears, and understand with [their]
heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (28)
Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto
the Gentiles, and
[that] they will hear it.

What should you do? Change definitions of words in verses in order
to have woman wear dresses.
You could wear a kilt, toga, trousers, slacks, "pants", skirt,
suit, or robe if you are a man.
If you are a woman you can wear only dresses, even though the term
never appears in the Bible; but above all else, do
not wear breeches for in the Bible this is under garments (under
wear). I know you were told that breeches were men's trousers but
perhaps the man that told you this was suffering from an overly tight
bonnet, skirt, or girdle.
Culottes
are not pants but "A divided skirt".
Therefore, baggy trousers are just culottes with longer legs! Both
have the "division" start in the crouch areas!!
• Plural noun 1
Brit.
underpants or knickers.
Do we not have an English Bible?
Eze 44:18 They shall have linen
bonnets
upon their heads, and shall have
linen breeches
upon their loins; they shall not gird
[themselves]
with any thing that causeth sweat.
Exo 28:42 And thou shalt make them
linen breeches
to cover their nakedness; from the loins
even unto the thighs they shall reach:
Mar 1:6 And John was clothed with
camel's hair, and with a
girdle
of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
Ruth 3:9 And he said, Who [art]
thou? And she answered, I [am]
Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore
thy skirt
over thine handmaid; for thou
[art]
a near kinsman.

Mat 14:25 And in the fourth watch
of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
What will you do? Sink,
Sink, Sink,
Sink, Sink, Sink,
Sink, Sink
This devotional was written with sarcasm, but the main point is the
misuse of Scripture to prove a pet doctrine many, many times.
Two of the wisest things that were ever said to me as a young Christian
were by a converted J.W. He knew where misplacement of Scripture could
advance.
1. If you cannot support your position with Scripture
"shut your mouth" Bill.
2. Can you say, "I do not know".
Respect for the Word of God is more important than appearing to have
all the answers. Find the answer without forcing Writ into any position
you may hold as true. There is nothing wrong with saying I do not know!

 John
10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture.
