Healing

Note: The author of this work believes without reservation, that the King James Bible is more than just a priceless work of literary art, which it is. But it is has indeed been preserved without error by God's providence as an infallible book that the common man in the English speaking world can hold and own, and the light it can give rest entirely on that man's faith in it and its Author. And all those who believe otherwise have either been duped, have an unclean motive, are just ignorant or see no issue of importance in having God's word readily available in an infallible form. No amount of linguist ability can give any extra light if there is doubt to its content, the Holy Spirit will not honour anyone that want to subject this English Bible to an inferior position

Healing

Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

This is an absolute general truth spoken by the father of lies.

Sure Satan is a deceiver, but any deceiver has to tell the truth sometimes or else they can not deceive.

When it comes to our life and suffering most people will do anything in order to stem the suffering and infirmities of the flesh.

More than 100 billion aspirin tablets are consumed each year. In short, no one wants to suffer and this brings us to our subject at hand, which is divine healing.

Three things must be keep in mind; One God does heal, two all any physician can do is postpone death for awhile and last you will die.

Ecc 8:8 [There is] no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither [hath he] power in the day of death: and [there is] no discharge in [that] war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

God is not our lackey that is at our beckon and call. He is sovereign and will answers prayers for healing three ways. (Yes, No, and wait)

1. No:

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. (8) For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (9) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Timothy 4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

It would be unreasonable to think that Paul did not pray for Trophimusí healing. What the illness was and was there a recovery is not stated. All we know is he was sick and Paul had to leave him in that condition.

2. Yes:

Philippians 2:27-28 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. (28) I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

Mark 2:11-12 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. (12) And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

3. Wait:

2 Kings 20:1-5 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. (2) Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, (3) I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done [that which is] good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. (4) And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, (5) Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Here a decree of death was given and overturned by prayer. Yet, Hezekiah had to wait.

Job had to wait for healing and was in so much misery that he prayed for death, until God healed him. Job 6:9 Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!

If you are ill by all means pray for healing. Perhaps God will give you a yes, he can also tell you to wait, guide you to a competent physician or the dreaded NO.

When it comes to these tabernacles of clay, many Christians are void of common biblical sense. When God saved you he did not save your body. Its future destination is corruption and death. God will give you a new one.

1Co 15:42 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

Healing And The Atonement

Overriding the clear progression of Scripture has done untold damage.

Many a Christian has doubted their relationship with God and even their salvation. Why, because they were misdirected to passages to claim for healing and when this did not transpire it altered their faith.

Paul in an early part of his ministry could have healing done simply by the handkerchief. Act 19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Yet, later on this same Apostle could not heal his fellow helpers in the ministry.

2 Timothy 4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

Paul who loved timothy and wrote two letters, which we have in the Bible, could not heal his stomach problems and other health issues.

1Ti 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

How can this be?

The Apostolic signs of the Apostles were coming to an end. During the remainder of this Church Age, God will answer requests for healing three ways: yes, no and wait.

Twice Peter when he was imprisoned by the means of prayer and a miracle from God was rescued.

Acts 5:17-20 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, (18) And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison. (19) But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, (20) Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

Acts 12:4-7 And when he had apprehended him, he put [him] in prison, and delivered [him] to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. (5) Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. (6) And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. (7) And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon [him], and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from [his] hands.

But our beloved Paul was not that fortunate he died in prison under the hands of Nero.

2 Timothy 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

[The second [epistle] unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.]>

Did not the Lord care for Paul, of course he did.

When you read the Scripture you must bare in mind that over all it is a book of progression. King David was a man who loved Godís word but at best only had six books (Job & the writing of Moses).

Tell me, who would know more of Godís written revelation a Jew with six books or one with the complete Old Testament?

The same can be said of The New Testament. NOW, read carefully and that the main crux of the matter will be understood.

If Peter, on the Day of Pentecost, would have after his sermon announced that there was going to be "dinner on the ground" prepared by the one hundred and twenty.

And the dinner will consist of catfish and lobsters complete with hush puppies fried in lard.

How many devout Jews in Acts two would have attended?

Had Peter stated that it is sinful for him to eat catfish in Acts two would he have spoken a lie.

Yet, if this same Peter had proclaimed the same message of diet after Acts ten he would have been guilty of wilful heresy (Acts 10:9-15, Col. 2:16, 11Tim. 4:1-5). In fact Peter was guilty of that falsehood and Paul had to rebuke him on this same issue in Gal. 2:11-21.

But just what does this have to do with healing you may ask? Simply this God has the right to change laws, add laws and do away with laws. He also has the right to start out a dispensation with signs and wonders and to terminate them also.

All Christians reading this have more faith at the point of their salvation than the Apostle Thomas had.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

We are to live by faith in Godís completed revelation his word and not by signs, spiritual gifts and wonders.

1 Corinthians 1:22-24 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: (23) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; (24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

It takes more faith and love for the Lord to suffer with pain and illness and serve him than to have good health and have your prayers answered in the affirmative.

Some common verses used by misguided Christians for healing.

3 John 2,1 Peter 2:24, Prov 4:20-22,Isaiah 53 :4&5, Psalm 103 :1-3,Exodus 15 :26, Matt 4 :23&24, Matt 8:1, James 5 :14-16

(1) 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Just what wishing someone good health has to do with divine physical healing is beyond sanity?

Do you suppose John would have wished ill health?

Should John have written Beloved I wish that your belly does swell and your thigh rots and may your dandruff increases as thy soul prospereth?

There is not a Christian alive who would want a fellow in bad health and does not wish them well.

(2). Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.

(A) This is a national conditional promise to the nation of Israel not the Church (We Gentiles were not brought out of Egypt).

Simply exegesis always should ask who is speaking, what about, to whom was it given and when.

(B) Below are a few commandments they were to follow of the all stated.

Do you follow these?

Leviticus 11:27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on [all] four, those [are] unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.

Quick call the dog pound and throw out the cat.

Leviticus 19:27-28 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. (28) Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD.

Scrape off the tattoos and drop that razor and your after-shave hath a rebellious savor.

Leviticus 11:12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that [shall be] an abomination unto you.

No crab legs, frog legs, shrimp legs, catfish legs and we have not even quoted the verses on pork and other victuals.

I am so sorry shrimp and catfish do not have legs and you have no scriptural legs if you claim Exodus 15:26 for the Christian and their healing.

Numbers 15:32-35 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. (33) And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. (34) And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. (35) And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

Does your congregation stone those who break the commandments? Better, have large rock pile in order to receive healing by obeying the statues.

(C) If you are going to claim verses given to Israel under the Law for healing then you are under the whole law.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Rom 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

The Law is not some Burger Joint where you can choose what to leave on and what to leave off. You receive the whole works, mustard, tomatoes, onions and all. If you want to claim the blessings you put yourself under the curses as well. If you are a Christian then you have dishonoured the Saviour if you seek blessings under the law.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

You can not claim just the last eight words of Exodus 15:26 you have to eat the whole thing.

Your promises as a Christian and Israel as a nation are different.

One more time with feeling!!!!

Your promises as a Christian and Israel as a nation are different.

Read the entire chapter of Deuteronomy twenty-eight for additional light.

(3) Matthew 4:23-24 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. (24) And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Notice the three ills of the human race are mentioned which are spiritual, mental and physical.

Before a brief comment is made on said passage, why are the children hospitals, nursing homes and insane alyssums void of healers? The answer is quite plain they are forgers of lies and of no value.

Having spent eight years in nursing homes ministry and spending three months at childrenís hospital before my daughter died, I guess I know somewhat of suffering.

Any person who had the power to eliminate the suffering of small children and relieve the plight of the elderly and did not do so is not a man of faith but a devil.

Did not Jesus say," Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven".

(A) There were no misfires in Jesusí healing ministry. There never was a time that Jesus could not heal someone due to his or her lack of faith. How much faith does a dead man, an infant or an elderly soul suffering from senility have? Jesus never blamed the ill for their lack of faith he just healed them.

(B) Jesus instructed the Disciples not to charge the afflicted for healing.

Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Therefore, why do these "healers" with their so-called evangelistic campaigns take up offerings? Simply because they are dissemblers and wolfs in sheepís clothing.

(4) Psalms 103:2-3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: (3) Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

If you were going to use this for individual healing in the church age you would have to use it for forgiveness as well.

So if God does not heal all your personal diseases than what make you think he has forgiven all your iniquities.

David under the Law knew that healing and forgiveness were conditional.

Here we do not have to go to the millennial applications as do some of the brethren, but simply use basic exegesis.

This same David had seventy thousand men killed by pestilence (epidemic disease) as he alone brought out the wrath of God by numbering the people (11 Sam 24). Where was the healing?

Psalm 103: is directed to Israel and is under a pact of blessing and cursing under a theocracy and under Moses.

They were there throughout the book of Judges and Samuel up to the time they appointed a king (they went against the strong advice and warnings of Samuel! 1 Samuel 8: 6-9; 12:12 -19).

When they rejected the theocracy and wanted an earthly monarch they not only had to keep the law and commandments of God, but also be governed by their King .

If they screwed up or if their king violated the pact the blessings stopped and all suffered.

THEOC'RACY, n. [Gr. God, and power; to hold.] Government of a state by the immediate direction of God; or the state thus governed. Of this species the Israelites furnish an illustrious example. The theocracy lasted till the time of Saul. (Webster 1828 Dictionary)

Why any Christians want to claim Mosaic mail is beyond reason?

If America or the UK were under the above pact (Deu 28) they both would have ceased to be a nation years ago!!!!!!!

David could truthfully say that God would forgive and heal but it was conditional. The promises are not to the individual as in this age but corporately to a nation of Israel.

(5) James 5:14-16 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (16) Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Here we have in it context a sick person and before we go into any progressive dispensational discourse let us abide by the text.

The plain guide lines of the text.

(a) The one that is sick is supposed to do the calling.

(b) Only the elders of the church are involved.

(c) The elders of the church are to pray over him.

(d) He is to be anointed with oil by them.

(e) It is the prayer of faith of the elders that is honoured, not the one affected.

Therefore if the sick person is not healed the blame must lie with the elders!

(d) There is confession to be made and sins forgiven.

(e) If the prayer is not effectual, fervent healing will not avail to

the ill.

(f) If you are going to claim the text and you do not get healed.

Try some different elders.

James is written to the twelve tribes of Israel and is probably the earliest writing in the New Testament (44 to 49 AD). You may ask what does this have to do with it, plenty. No one could read the history of the early church in the book of Acts and not see how both doctrine and the relationship of the Jews developing.

Just as the nation of Israel could have been the head rather than the tail in the Old Testament the same holds true during the Church Age.

(Deu 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them]:)

Israel of course did not and the blessing of prosperity of that nation was cut off and they went into captivity. Their position changed from being the head to the tail and the blessings to a curse.

Deu 28:63 And it shall come to pass, [that] as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

If you would study the context of the verses below the same holds true. Had Israel not rejected their Saviour they could have been the head and not the tail. The preaching of the Gospel start out with Jews first (the head) and because of their deaf ear to it, they become last (the tail).

The Head

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Act 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

The Tail

Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not!

Joh 19:15 But they cried out, Away with [him], away with [him], crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Acts 28:25-28 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, (26) Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: (27) For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (28) Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and [that] they will hear it.

But what does this have to do with the passage in James or healing, you may wonder?

We are talking about healing and Israel (the twelve tribes). The reasons for divine healing under the earthly ministry of Jesus and the early church which started with Israel was to authenticate that Jesus was from God and the twelve Disciples and Paul were men of God (similar to many of the Old Testament prophets like Elijah and Moses)

The dispensation of the Law started with signs and wonders and so has this age.

Authentication of Jesus.

Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

Joh 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Joh 9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Authentication of the Apostles

2Co 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

Acts 4:16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them [is] manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny [it].

Acts 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

Act 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

There is no recorded case in Jesusí earthly ministry or the very early church where when healing was to be performed that the Lord or the Apostles could not heal. (Except in Mat 17:21, There is a severe devil possessed man is encountered)

This being so the obvious questions is why are there no guarantees on healing today. Did not the text in James say, "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up".

You have only two choices.

1. This is a fabrication and the Bible is not trustworthy.

2. There has been a change in Godís dealing with healing and those it will

concern (review earlier comments).

Many a Pastor can testify that they have tried this and healing has taken place, but the same Pastor can also testify and state that no healing was forthcoming using the same elders.

We are back to the three basic answers from God (yes, wait and no).

Additional Comments

It is a common mistake with those who want to prove a doctrine to read into a verse what it does not say. The word here is healed.

Before we go into the last of the main verses on healing note the following!

(A.) There were saints healed before Calvary both in the Old Testament and during Our Saviour earthly ministry before a strip was lain on his back.

(B.) There are other types of healing. (Spiritual and even land and water)

Isaiah 1:5-6 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. (6) From the sole of the foot even unto the head [there is] no soundness in it; [but] wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

Isa 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

The above verses are not physical sickness but spiritual.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Eze 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: [which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

The Main Verses Used For Healing.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (5) But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Matthew 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare [our] sicknesses.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The means of forgiveness is plainly the cross in 1Peter and Isa. 53:4-5.

The reason we are at peace with God is because he borne our punishment

It would be extremely beneficial for all Christians to become familiar with biblical terms ending in "tion": propitiation, reconciliation, justification, imputation and sanctification they will shed the light needed on these passages.

It would be quite easy to simply say that is was fulfilled and end the matter.

But is there physical healing in the atonement that is the question?

The utter most point to keep in mind is if you make forgiveness and healing synonymous for this present time in the church age then you are lost and on your way to hell.

If God will not heal and you claim it is a guarantee from Calvary, then what makes you thing he has forgiven you of your sins.

In short, if you do not receive healing, I guess you must not be his child!

The statement above is heretical at best, but this is the hole you have dug yourself by misapplication of the verse.

(a) No redeemed Christian will need healing when he receives his glorified body. Phi 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. 2Co 5:4 For we that are in [this] tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

(b) We do not receive all our benefits now. 1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

(c) The atonement purchased more than just your salvation in this present age, many are in a future dispensation.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].

(Romans 8:19-25)

Do you understand the scope of these wonderful verses above? The whole ball of wax (creation) is to benefit. Here you have the lion and the lamb feeding together.

Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever [in that] which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner [being] an hundred years old shall be accursed. And they shall build houses, and inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree [are] the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they [are] the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust [shall be] the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

(Isaiah 65:17-25)

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; [It shall] yet [come to pass], that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one [city] shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days [it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard [that] God [is] with you.

The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

(Isaiah 9:6-7)
