King James Bible Believers

Getting what you deserve

By

William West

Note: The author of this work believes without reservation, that the King James Bible is more than just a priceless work of literary art, which it is. But it is has indeed been preserved without error by God's providence as an infallible book that the common man in the English speaking world can hold and own, and the light it can give rest entirely on that man's faith in it and its Author. And all those who believe otherwise have either been duped, have an unclean motive, are just ignorant or see no issue of importance in having God's word readily available in an infallible form. No amount of linguist ability can give any extra light if there is doubt to its content, the Holy Spirit will not honour anyone that want to subject this English Bible to an inferior position

Getting what you deserve

We often hear small children complain that it is unfair. Yet, one of the things we learn slowly as we mature is that

 LIFE IS UNFAIR!

So repeat after me

LIFE IS UNFAIR! LIFE IS UNFAIR! LIFE IS UNFAIR! LIFE IS UNFAIR! LIFE IS UNFAIR!

Job answers his friends to bring this apparent unfairness to the forefront.

Job 12:6  The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].

Job 21:7  Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?

For Job’s friends had this naïve idea that when evil comes your way it must be due to your own wickedness.

Job 4:7-8  Remember, I pray thee, who [ever] perished, being innocent? Or where were the righteous cut off?  (8)  Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

In this life the wicked often do not receive their deserts as father Abraham reminded the Rich man in hell.

Luk 16:25  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

The whole thing will balance out in the future.

Luk 16:19  There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

The key word here is WAS. In order to be quite honest every tombstone should have the word WAS.

Psa 102:11  My days [are] like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

James 4:14  Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Almost everything you see, touch and can feel is a WAS.

The only two exceptions are the Holy Sprit that bears witness to our spirit and the word of God that is forever (Rom. 8:16 and 1 Pet. 1:23)

Marriage=Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband.

Riches and bigger barns= 1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out.

Fame and reputation= Pro 10:7 The memory of the just [is] blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

Everything the rich man had is a “was”.

No one said that the unfairness of life would not rattle us at times it will. Yet, thank God that life here on Earth is unfair. How can that be you ask? Glad you asked.

If life here were fair the following verses would mean nothing.

2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2Ti 2:12  If we suffer, we shall also reign with [him]: if we deny [him], he also will deny us:

Rev 2:10  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mat 5:11  Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rom 8:35-39  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  (36)  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  (37)  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  (38)  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  (39)  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people: and they shall say, The LORD [is] my God.

In fact, how many rewards would the Old Testament Saints, Church Age Saints and Tribulation Saints receive if life here were fair?

Deeper still, if God had not let this present evil world treat his only begotten Son UNFAIRLY for our sakes, and God gave us a fair judgment where would we be. Would we not be with the rich man in hell!

Remember God’s mercy means nothing if justice is not his first priority and if not it nullifies the sufferings of our Saviour.

Mercy is the other side of God being fair to us.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Very few of us can be as Job and lose children and property and state “ Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD”.

Most of us will wonder and may even be spiritually shaken for a while, but after a short season the seemingly unfairness of life will be answer with faith in such a verse as below.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

In case I forget Happy New Year or better still, Even so, come Lord Jesus.

If you are not 100% sure that you are going to Heaven when you die, enter in at the the door:

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
