Wrapped In A Manger

Wrapped In A Manger

How can this be for I know not a man
As the Angel spoke of redemption's plan
Praise in the highest, Praise here on Earth
The song of all ages, the Man Child's birth
WRAPPED IN A MANGER, WRAPPED IN A TOMB

11
John did leap as Elisabeth did cry
Of the foreordained Lamb destined to die
From the Ivory Palaces of Heaven, to a stable below
The redeemed now sing it is well with my soul
WRAPPED IN A MANGER, WRAPPED IN TOMB

111
No room at the inn for the Creator of all
But a place of mockery was granted at Pilate’s Hall
Mary the Vessel gave I AM flesh and bone
But the ransom was paid by him alone
WRAPPED IN A MANGER, WRAPPED IN A TOMB

1v
Shepherds did come from the field that night
To behold God's solace of sin's awful plight
Wise men brought forth-mere gifts and gold
But the Giver of Life shed blood for their souls
WRAPPED IN A MANGER, WRAPPED IN A TOMB

V
From the cry of a babe, to a cry on a hill
This Saviour came to fulfill God's will
Resurrected he folded those wrapping with care
Defeating Hell's bondage and the Prince of the air
WRAPPED IN A MANGER, WRAPPED IN A TOMB

VI
With unwrapped glory he will return to this sphere
To reign with iron from Jerusalem here
No longer a babe, but the King of all kings
We'll praise; we'll praise as eternity rings
WRAPPED IN A MANGER, WRAPPED IN A TOMB

Merry Christmas
