Small and minute not lofty or grand
This little wonder ignored by man
In the soil it patiently wait to
arise
God’s creation that man has
minimized
II
Yes slowly so slowly it ventures
forth to grow
Though seasons of warm reins and
blankets of snow
Unnoticed by man in his madness and
haste
The monument increases at God’s set
pace
III
Time moves on cutting man down to
size
Oh, the vanity of man is right
before our eyes
Our generations pass on in death and
birth
Now we go unnoticed by this giant on
earth
IV
Caressed by the sun, loving the rain
Without madness or haste nor vanity
or shame
Will we slow down to look out and
see
That graves are often shaded by mere
trees

John
10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture.
