King James Bible Believers

Note: The author of this work believes without reservation, that the King James Bible is more than just a priceless work of literary art, which it is. But it is has indeed been preserved without error by God's providence as an infallible book that the common man in the English speaking world can hold and own, and the light it can give rest entirely on that man's faith in it and its Author. And all those who believe otherwise have either been duped, have an unclean motive, are just ignorant or see no issue of importance in having God's word readily available in an infallible form. No amount of linguist ability can give any extra light if there is doubt to its content, the Holy Spirit will not honour anyone that want to subject this English Bible to an inferior position.

We all admire when men give it all, the above the call of duty and actions of uncommon valour. These men are often given tribute, medals and national recognition for going that extra mile or caring more for the welfare of others, or the common good than their own life. Many of these men are soldiers fighting for a cause or even an unjust cause. (It depends which side you are on)

Yet, as brave as these men are, I know of none that would out of love lay down his life for his enemy.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:7-10)

I am moved on Veterans Day or when I read stories of Medal of Honour winners. Still, not to take away from some their feats of valour, they did not risk their lives or die for those that hated their guts.

I speak of none other than the Captain of my salvation, The Lord Jesus Christ. Tell me what more could he have gave or what more could he have done?

Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

He died for his friends; he died for his enemies.

Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Joh 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

He forgave his friends and his enemies.

Jesus gave his life so we could have eternal life. No soldier who lays down his life and gives the ultimate sacrifice can do this.

Many a soldier has a sense of obligation and debt to his country and to his family.

JESUS OWES THIS UNGRATEFUL HUMAN RACE NOTHING.

He is the potter and we the clay, therefore God would be justified in destroying the whole lot of us.

Jesus does not need your love or worship. Before Adam and Eve he was worshiped by the host of heaven and had an eternal love affair with the Father. God needs you like a fish needs a raincoat!!!!!

In fact Jesus loved the unlovable---you and I.

The greatest show of love is giving and excepting nothing back.

No man's love has ever been more spurred than Jesus'

No man's name has ever been more abused than His.

No man's sacrifice has been down played and mocked more than his.

Therefore I ask you what more could he have done?

He left the glorious throne where the angels praised his name

To dwell in Adam’s flesh as the Holy Writ proclaims

A virgin did conceive and carry the man-child in her womb

The begotten Rose Sharon in a stable there did bloom

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

For he shed his blood for our sins and won victory o’er the grave

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

The undefiled grew up to dwell among this unthankful fallen race

Here he preached of love and mercy to receive spit upon his face

The feet that walked the streets gold did trod the streets of sod

He healed the wayward multitudes and proved he came from God

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

For he shed his blood for our sins and won victory o’er the grave

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

Here he gathered twelve to proclaim the Kingdom was at hand

They heard his voice and message for he spoke like no other man

They saw him raise the dead and cause the blind to see

He told of the mystery that he would die for you and me

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

For he shed his blood for our sins and won victory o’er the grave

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

They followed him to the garden but he prayed there all alone

They grew weary and as they slept they could not hear him groan

O my Father let this cup pass but I was sent to do thy will

For my face is set like a flint to go upon Golgotha hill

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

For he shed his blood for our sins and won victory o’er the grave

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

The shame and suffering there was out done by what he born

Our vile and wicked sins that the Holy Father does abhor

Yet because this unfathomed love on the only Pure One it was laid

So we could escape the fires of hell for the price was surely paid

What more could he have done what more could he have gave

For he shed his blood for our sins and won victory o’er the grave

For when I search my unworthy soul and see such depravity within

I marvel and rejoice that such unrivalled love was given for my sins

What more could he have done what more could he have gave
