King James Bible Believers

THE UNCLEAN

By

Note: The author of this work believes without reservation, that the King James Bible is more than just a priceless work of literary art, which it is. But it is has indeed been preserved without error by God's providence as an infallible book that the common man in the English speaking world can hold and own, and the light it can give rest entirely on that man's faith in it and its Author. And all those who believe otherwise have either been duped, have an unclean motive, are just ignorant or see no issue of importance in having God's word readily available in an infallible form. No amount of linguist ability can give any extra light if there is doubt to its content, the Holy Spirit will not honour anyone that want to subject this English Bible to an inferior position

THE UNCLEAN

No disease in the Bible is so dreaded and wrote of as leprosy. It is the rotting of the flesh and reduces men to mutilated walking corpses. They are ostracized by loved one and avoided by all. Under the Law they must pronounce their dreaded condition.

Lev 13:45  And the leper in whom the plague [is], his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.

It does not take much biblical insight to see the similitude between this outward disease and sin. The main difference is outwardly; a person can be a white sculpture and inwardly full of dead men’s bones.  The Leper condition is obvious.

1Tim 5:24-25  Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some [men] they follow after.  (25)  Likewise also the good works [of some] are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

Yet unlike leprosy men can use euphemisms to glace over sin and use words like significant other, alternative life style, religious diversity and many others. The Bible does not slight the consequences of sin anymore than leprosy.

All men are spiritual lepers if they know not the lord. Leprosy is abominable and filthy and so is man

Job 15:16  How much more abominable and filthy [is] man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

Points to ponder

1. Leprosy starts out small and gradually consumes the whole body.

Sin can also. Rom 7:5  For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

2. Leprosy can infect and appear in garments and homes.

Lev 14:55  And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,

Sin can also

Pro 7:10  And, behold, there met him a woman [with] the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

Pro 14:11  The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

3. Leprosy affects the hand and feet

 Sin does also.

Psa 26:10  In whose hands [is] mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

Pro 6:18  An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

4. Under the Law only the priests could pronounce that the leprosy was cleansed.

Lev 13:13  Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, [if] the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce [him] clean [that hath] the plague: it is all turned white: he [is] clean.

A sinner can only be pronounced clean by our great High Priest.

Heb 2:17  Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Heb 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.

1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

There are of course many other similitudes and verses that can be added, but the thing that moves me and should bring forth appreciation is the touch of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Mat 8:2-3  And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  (3)  And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

This undefiled Saviour and our High Priest touched that which was unclean, vile and abominable.

Guess What?

There is no difference HE TOUCHED US ALSO.

Spiritually speaking is there any difference?

Did not you come worshiping the Lord and asking for cleansing and it was only his touch that could perform it. And it was IMMEDIATELY DONE.

This miserable leper could not heal himself and had nothing to offer. The Leper’s future was bleak, but however we were far worse…hell waited.

The leper I am sure did not have a condescending attitude on other lepers ------Do you?

I cannot understand how this pure, undefiled Son of God could touch that which is unclean

Do you suppose it was LOVE?

THE UNCLEAN

I am a leper with rotting flesh unclean unclean my daily cry

Touch me not lest you die for my only hope a grave to rest

A walking corpse that all detest loved by none no friends are neigh

Look not on me as I walk by

2

My visage marred-- oh cursed the day that I was born

Children mock people scorn-- this living hell left me scarred

Who will mourn who will regard when at last I slowly die?

Look not on me as I walk by

3

Yet, my ears they have heard of a mighty prophet from Galilee

That walks on water and calms the sea that heals by a single word

Oh could it be have I misheard--- this only hope I must try

Look not on me as I walk by

4

There he is up ahead I can hear him preach and talk of love

He states he is from above but his rejection my soul does dread

For I am the walking dead but his loving hand heeds my cry

He looked on me as I walked by

5

I love I love my flesh is healed yet we all rot and pass away

By his love I am ready for that day when all hearts are revealed

And all shall bow and kneel there is only one fountain can supply

Drink from his waters do not pass him by

If you are not 100% sure that you are going to Heaven when you die, enter in at the the door:

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
